What to say..... Did I like it? Yes, but do I love it? No. The place is clean and everyone is nice, right away it is a local hangout. From my understanding the breakfasts are very good. My wife said that it reminded of her as a kind of Big Boy restaurant. As for the food, she had the, what else but the Slim Jim. I gave it a try and would say it was good but the sauce was lacking a lot, all you got was a big mouthful of ham and it is one of those things that can get overwhelming a few bites in. I got the “All you can eat fish Special every day.” I’m a huge fish fan so I am going to nitpick here. The coleslaw looked outstanding but I had opted for the salad, nothing more than a huge bowl of lettuce. The fish was not cod and if it was then it was some very poor cod at that. Tilapia was more like it; the breading I would say pancake batter. Not bad at all but with the strips of fish cut thin and the breading thick it started to get to be too much, the first plate had a lot and I never got any more after that. One thing that I could do is get hash browns instead of fries. If you like fish give it try; I found it to be an outstanding side and have done it many times. Would it be my first place to stop? No, but I think overall they must have a few outstanding things and we just did not find them that time.

We haven't been here lately just due to covid and the reviews but decided to give it a try usually we do not go to a place that closes an hour or so but I am glad we did decide to get take out. My husband got the city chicken and boy was we both surprised nice chunks of pork and a mushroom gravy over it..... delicious!!!!! so I know some places have bad reviews and it could have been a 1 off situation but definitely give them a try you will not be disappointed!!!
